So many people are looking forward to this year’s NBA All-Star Game which will take place in Phoenix, Arizona. Basketball fans and sneakerheads galore delight in the festivities as the world’s best players and best sneaker releases make their appearances for 2009. One of the sneakers to look out for is the Nike Air Force One (1) 2009 All -Star.
DJ Clark once again put his skills to work and created these Phoenix inspired kicks. The shoe features a Phoenix Sun’s colorway and imitates the grand landscape of Arizona. There are also several details that coincide with the 2009 All Star Game. The upper is composed of several textures, it is predominantly tan (to represent the sandy desert of Arizona) and made of nubuck. The toe-box and side panels are also sandy tan and have a micro-perforated texture. The rest of the sneaker is brighter and clearly represents the Phoenix Sun’s colorway with purple patent leather on the heel and a leather yellow Swoosh made. Yellow also lines the piping which borders the side panels of the shoe as well as the Nike logo tag on the tongue. Everything comes together with an orange leather wrapped midsole and gummy bottom.
DJ Clark Kent decided to include three sets of shoelaces with the Nike Air Force One (1 ) 2009 All-Star. These shoes will be available mid-February, just enough time for you to cop them and wear them to the game. Via Marquee Sole.

We first featured this pair of Nike 1Wolrd Air Force 1 Supremes a few weeks ago and briefly mentioned that they came in special packaging. Now we wanted to take a closer look at the actual box that it comes in. The shoes themselves sport a red CLOT Royale Deluxe Silk, a well known Chinese-made textile. Other unique features include trademark CLOT graphics embroidered onto the upper, as well as detailed illustrations embroidered onto the leather. Also, the red upper-shoe layer can be peeled, burned, or even torn off to reveal a dark brown leather undercoat. The box is actually a special Chinese Candy Box packaging case. The inspiration behind this stems from the fact that traditionally, Lunar New year celebrations include the offering of candy and other sweets from a red box to ensure a sweet year. They will be available on January 16, 2009 and retail for HK$2,800 (Hong Kong) or RMB2,800 (China), exclusively from JUICE or ACU. Via High Snobiety.
