Melissa7 only started collecting 8 months ago, but her shoe game is crazier than most people I know. At 17, she has over 60 pairs of sneakers, a ton of heat, and a serious passion for sneakers. It all started when she bought her first pair of Jordans, and fell in love. Soon there after, she attended her first Dunk Exchange, and found out the definition of the term “sneakerhead.”

People were selling shoes, trading, showing off their collections and people winning prizes just for having a rare shoe. I loved it. I bought my first pair of SB’s, the Sharks, while I was there. I found myself camping out in front of stores for the newest releases. My friends and I would spend days in line waiting for a pair.

While she loves the shoe game, she is often irritated by the commentary that she has a lot of kicks, ‘for a girl.’ She wants to be known and equally respected in the kick game, and hopes to contribute to making that happen.

Jordan Flipsyde - Now Available

Jordan Brand recently jumped into the skateboarding realm in 2008 with the release of the Air Jordan Flipsyde, the company’s first official skate shoe. Although not as popular as the numbered Air Jordan models, they have had a large following by many fanatics. Look for the shoe to take off in 2009 and be released in plenty of new colorway, the first being the pair shown here. They feature a predominantly grey colorway with french blue and white accents, as well as some detailing across the side panels. Look for them now at select Jordan Brand accounts.

Custom Kicks - Paris Dunk Lows

Miz has been customizing kicks since the late 90’s, becoming infamous for his stellar graphic and paint work. After seeing many renditions of the Paris Lows, he decided to try his hand at replicating them, and in my opinion, was extremely successful. The Paris Dunks were a special limited edition release for the “‘White Dunk: Evolution of an Icon’” art exhibition in Paris. Only 220 pairs were made and sold at select shops in Paris. The detail work on the Miz dunks is exceptional, as is how closely they resemble the originals. Miz spent roughly 50 hours working on these, and is currently in the process of completing a high top version, adding his own bit of personality to them.

Cooke never realized while walking into class on the first day of the 5th grade, that his entire life would change. Fitted in the only thing his mother could afford at the time, a pair of Payless sneakers, he walked into a classroom of peers who immediately started taking shots. From that embarrassment came determination and Cooke began hustling. He cut grass, shoveled snow, raked leaves, made ringtones; basically did whatever he could to make some money. Once he had a few dollars in his pocket, Cooke began collecting. The one pair of shoes he absolutely loves is the Jordan 11s. Since he couldn’t afford them when they first came out, he stacked his chips, stood in line for 2 hours and picked up the 11/12 package. His main love is Nikes, but can also be seen in New Balance and reppin’ his city in a pair of DC’s. Cooke’s love of sneakers is not just a trend, it is a lifestyle.

We just wanted to remind you guys that the Air Jordan Spizike - Cool Greys are now available at select accounts. They were released alongside the Air Jordan Spizike - Citron Colorway. They feature They were originally thought to be European exclusives, but with all the flack Jordan Brand received for that, they decided to release them here in the states.They sport a black and grey color combinations along with white contrast stitching and the infamous elephant print. Air Jordan Spizike - Citron Colorway

Recently released to select accounts is this pair of Air Jordan Spizikes which have been dubbed the Citrons. They are definitely one of the nicest and most unique colorways to grace the Spizike silhouette. The upper features a practically black colorway along with cactus and violet accents most notably on the modified elephant print. The shoe sports a durabuck and patent leather upper along with mesh overlays on the sides. They are definitely head turners, and should sell wel. Check out the detailed pictures as well as the video featured below which allows you to get a 360 degree look at the shoe.

Nike Blazer High Premium - Playstation 3

We just wanted to remind you guys that this pair of Nike Blazer High Premiums are now available at select Nike accounts. They are one of several pairs of Nike kicks inspired by the Sony Playstation 3. We’ve also seen the Nike Shox and Nike Air Max ’97’s, and now Nike has released this latest pair. They feature a black leather construction along with a gradient effect of the Playstation 3 colors on the heel tab and Nike swoosh. Nike Zoom Kobe 4 (IV) - Carpe Diem Edition

The Black Mamba has received lots of attention in 2008, and 2009 will be just as goo to Kobe Bryant. He’s the reigning NBA MVP, the face of the popular Nike Hyperdunk model, and recently released his fourth signature shoe with Nike, the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 (IV). Here we feature a pair embellished with the Los Angeles Lakers colorway, as well as Nike’s new flywire technology. With that being said, you already know that they are extremely light. They feature a black leather upper along with purple / gold accents and a translucent midsole. The tongue features the words Carpe Diem which means seize the day in Latin. They are slated to release on January 17, 2008.

We posted the Nike Lebron VI Chalk about a week ago and told you to look out for the official King James debut of the Nike Zoom Lebron VI”Chalk Editions. So if you missed watching The Cavs defeat the Wizards 93 - 89 on TNT on Christams Day, here’s a glimpse of what you missed.

It’s Christmas Day 2008 in Cleveland @ The Quickens Loan Arena and Forward Lebron James #23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers, has just finished his pre game Ritual. Lebron starts every basketball game by walking over to the annoucer’s table and throwing a handful of chalk into the air. This Christmas Day is extra special because Lebron James has just debut his new Nike Lebron VI Chalk kicks to the crowd. Let’s not get these Nike Lebron’s “Chalk Editions” confused with future releases coming from the Nike Lebron 6 Campus. Custom Kicks - The Lost Boys Vintage Terminators

BeSpoke Sneaker Gallery is a sneaker design firm specializing in pop, iconic, and contemporary themes. Through artistic expression, they use sneakers as a medium to convey their passion for life, art, music and of course, sneakers. Recently, they were inspired by a cult classic, and have begun to release the Lost Boys Vintage Terminator Package. They used the terminator to help retell the story of David (Kiefer Sutherland) and his tribe of teenage vampires whom terrorized their small town in CA. They also did their best to give the customs an authentic feel of 1987 (the year the film was released) as well as a look of it being a prop in the movie. This vintage model (originally released in 1985) provided BeSpoke with the template to achieve their desired appeal. The customs consist of Bright Red Bite Marks (upper cushion & lower heel), Scratches, Pale tone of a victim freshly bitten, and Black for the Gothic Motorcycle Gang.

Hailing from Massachusetts, Superwoman is a recent convert to the sneaker game. Last week, we saw Terrell Owens sporting the Air Jordan 6 Olympic with his Dallas Cowboys uniform as he set the ball down in the endzone after scoring a touchdown against the Houston Texans.

Fresh Troy the Sole Brotha is just a regular kid from Harlem with quite a few kicks. His obsession with shoes began in the early nineties when his aunt blessed him with a pair of Aqua VIII’s. Even at age 5, he understood the power of neckbreakin’, “…I mean, I was only 5 but i remember it so vividly. I felt so good with my Jordans on…..” Since then, he has picked up every new Jordan release, as well as quite a few others. With an affinity for basketball sneakers, he owns everything from Grant Hills to Garnett Flightposites. While he does love the attention, for Troy, the respect and recognition from other sneakerheads is what it’s all about.

Bring It Back: Reebok Pump Twilight Zone (1990)

Last week’s Bring It Back caused a huge comotion throughout the sneakerhead community including NikeTalk. We received positive response from supporters eager to see a retro version of the Air Jordan 6 White / Infared.

This week, we travel back to 1990 to have an interesting look at the Reebok Pump Twilight Zone. With the recent success of the Supra’s leading models: Skytop, Terry Kennedy, Vaider, Nike Air Yeezy, and Ato Matsumoto High Top. One thing we have noticed is that all these models feature an unusually large toungue. The large tongue is becoming a very distinguished feature as it makes for a great look when raised above the jeans. With that in mind, it would be a great idea to bring back a classic from the Reebok Pump series: Reebok Pump Twilight Zone.

Released in 1990, the Reebok Pump Twilight Zone never received its proper recognition as it was lined up with the likes of the Reebok Omni Lite and Reverse Jam series. They have a very distinctive look that can be paralelled to the likes of the Back to the Future McFly shoes. Let’s revive this classic… Imagine these in different color-ways!
