It’s been awhile since we have had one of these, but all good things come to those who wait. Let me introduce you to JonathanTuffin, a collection from Marseille, France that lives and breathes sneakers. He started his collection five years ago with a pair of Air Jordan 1s, and from then on, it was downhill. After completing his Jordan collection, and dipping into SB’s, he has recently fallen in love with the Reebok Pump, with a goal of attaining all of the vintage as well as 20th Anniversary Colorways available.

th@_r3@ll3$t has been collecting since 2001, though only recently became very active in the last couple of years. He began collecting GR’s and an occasional limited shoe, but then, like a majority of us, he began obtaining some of the pairs he used to only dream about. th@_r3@ll3$t’s weakness is deadstock Classic retros and OG Jordans. Featured Member - FranMarshell

Almost 10 years later, FranMarshell is still collecting, and his new favorite shoes are the black and pink Air Yeezys. With the collaboration of his favorite artist, Kanye, ad Nike, it was game over.
Though hard to believe with a collection so large, there are still a few pairs that he has yet to obtain. The Red Supreme Blazer and the Paris dunk lows.

FranMarshell has recently turned his love for shoes into a career. For the past year he has been doing reviews of shoes. It started with just showing SBs, but more and more people wanted to see all of his shoes. He was hesitant to start showing other shoes, because he never wanted to seem like a show off, he just wanted to give everyone a chance to see the newest SB shoes before or right when they came out.

Growing up in the early 90’s, SuperKix always had the freshest kicks….but he put them through hell. Not knowing what their worth would be in 15 years, he tore them up and realized later how he should have been treating them. In 1999, Superkix bought a pair of Air Max 95s and the game was over. From then on, he only rocked Air Max: 95’s, 97’s, & LTD’s. If it didn’t have an air pocket, he wouldn’t wear it. In the past year or so, Superkix has dabbled in the SB game, but his passion for the Air Max 95 stays true.

About a year ago, his passion for collecting turned into a business, when he teamed up with his brother Jonathan and started Superkix.com; the first and only search engine for authentic sneakers. He hopes to find his holy grail, the Jordan VII - Miro. Not to wear…but he thinks they would look nice on his mantel.

At the age of 10, R3tr0kickz idolized Michael Jordan. Being that Jordan was his hero, he longed to rock his kicks, but could never afford them. Instead, his first pair of memorable sneakers were all black Reeboks. At 16, he began collecting and 8 years later, he has accumulated over 200 pairs of kicks. While he loves collecting, R3tr0kickz is in the process of selling off his collection to obtain his dream; opening a sneaker boutique of his own.

As a kid, TeddyGetDaCash was unable to obtain a pair of Jordans, so he started his collection at age 9 with a pair of Nike Flights. A little while later, he came up on some cement and white Jordan 4s, which remain one of his favorite releases of all time. With what he considers a ‘pretty nice sized’ collection [it is INSANE!] TeddyGetDaCash is still on the hunt for his favorite shoes of all time, the Air Flight high 89 and the Air Solo Flight 89.

DexterLim considers himself both a sneakerhead and a Jordanhead. His entire family is full of collectors, including his 8 month old son. DexterLim started off collecting Nike Shox, AF1’s and Adidas, but soon after fell in love with the Jumpman. While he has been buying Jordan’s for the past 2 years, he wasn’t serious about collecting until last April. David85 has been playing ball in Jordan 13’s since he acquired his first pair in the 2nd grade. In love with the fit and the style, he stacked his chips for years to build his collection and it is far from complete. After a year of collecting Jordans, he found a new love for Nike SB’s and jumped on those. His favorite SB’s in his collection are the Tiffanys, but he would love to own the Paul Brown highs. While once a victim of being a hypebeast, it is now David85s pet peeve, and he subscribes to the philosophy of buying what you like, not what is hyped. According to Mini_Me09, it’s bad luck to count the number of kicks in your collection. So while we don’t have an exact number, judging by the pictures he has stacked up quite a few. He started collecting Forces during his freshman year of high school, though he quickly moved to Jordans after feeling as if they were getting played out. He still owns his first pair of Jordans [Taxi 12's], and recently purchased them again when they were re-released. Mini_me09 prefers to go hunting for vintage Jordans as opposed to the new releases, and is still on the hunt for the Violet Purple 10s.

AF1 Kr@Zii grew up in the windy city, and had a fascination with kicks from a very young age. In the 5th grade, he copped his first pair of classic Air Force 1s, all white with the gum sole. While his collection slowly grew, it didn’t become an obsession until he acquired the Bobby Jones AF1s. Since then, AF1 Kr@Zii has dibble dabbled in dunks, but leans more towards the QuickStrike and Premium AF1s.

Cooke never realized while walking into class on the first day of the 5th grade, that his entire life would change.  Fitted in the only thing his mother could afford at the time, a pair of Payless sneakers, he walked into a classroom of peers who immediately started taking shots. From that embarrassment came determination and Cooke began hustling. He cut grass, shoveled snow, raked leaves, made ringtones; basically did whatever he could to make some money. Once he had a few dollars in his pocket, Cooke began collecting. The one pair of shoes he absolutely loves is the Jordan 11s. Since he couldn’t afford them when they first came out, he stacked his chips, stood in line for 2 hours and picked up the 11/12 package. His main love is Nikes, but can also be seen in New Balance and reppin’ his city in a pair of DC’s. Cooke’s love of sneakers is not just a trend, it is a lifestyle.

Fresh Troy the Sole Brotha is just a regular kid from Harlem with quite a few kicks. His obsession with shoes began in the early nineties when his aunt blessed him with a pair of Aqua VIII’s. Even at age 5, he understood the power of neckbreakin’, “…I mean, I was only 5 but i remember it so vividly. I felt so good with my Jordans on…..” Since then, he has picked up every new Jordan release, as well as quite a few others. We debut our Featured Member section with one of our oldest members who has been with My.KicksOnFire.com since the beginning. Check out Mr. Carter holding up the rare pair of Air Jordan 7 (VII) - Miró (OC). They are inspired by the colors and the international spirit of the Olympic Games. The shoes also draw inspiration from the late Spanish painter and sculptor Joan Miró who died only months before Michael Jordan and Team USA won Gold in the ‘92 Games.
