DC Shoes x CommonWealth - Gatsby (Eames Black)Here is a detailed look at the DC Shoes x CommonWealth - Gatsby (Eames Black) which is a result of a collaboration between DC Shoes and Norfolk Virginia’s shop Commonwealth. The result is a double label shoe which projects both DC Shoes’ and Commonwealth’s logo. They feature the famous Maharam “Eames Dot Pattern” fabric, embossed insoles and a unexpected purple sole.

A little more on the designers:

“By approaching every project with the following questions: Does it interest and intrigue us? Can we make it better? Will we have “serious fun” doing it? Charles and Ray Eames successfully ushered in a whole new aesthetic in furniture, design, and film that has inspired the creative community for over 50 years. Their world-renowned Eames lounge chair has even been added to the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.” via CW
