Though he is a pretty big deal in the rap world, Wale has made quite a name for himself in the sneaker world. Over the last couple of years, Wale has acquired quite an impressive sneaker collection and often uses his Twitter as a gallery for some of his exclusive kicks. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Wale is often spotted with the shoes we all want 6 months to a year before the rest of us will even get a chance to touch them. We decided to take a look into Wale’s size 9 closet and give you a glimpse of some of the heat we have seen him rock.

Everypeoples: Top 12 Trainers Paper Art

This has to be one of the most unique ‘Best of 2012′ lists that we have ever seen. As opposed to simply listing the sneakers along with a well lit high resolution photo the people over at Everypeoples have taken to the task of painstakingly creating paper versions of each sneaker that they have listed. Though I do not miss my days in Baytown, TX, I am sad that I am so far away from the H-Town Sneaker Summit. As January comes to a close, the summit will once again bring smiles to the faces of sneakerheads in the lone star state at Reliant Stadium. Converse First String – Jack Purcell Johnny Hi

Converse First String looks to end the year off right by releasing some nice designs in the Jack Purcell Johnny Hi. The high-top silhouette is build on the classic Jack Purcell, utilizing its toe cap, but adding some minimal details to the upper. The shoe is seen here in two colorways, the first of which features a black design, which is constructed from tonal chambray and suede. The second boasts a white look, and is built from tonal canvas and suede. Both of these pairs of Converse First String Jack Purcell Johnny Hi are now available at accounts including Compound.

Under Armour Micro G Funk – DeAndre Jordan Christmas Player Exclusive

Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan is one of Under Armour‘s up and coming signature players. Yesterday he laced up this pair of Under Armour Micro G Funk for the team’s Christmas Day game. The shoe sports a predominantly green colorway that is accented with dark green on the shoe laces and midsole, while white is applied to the Under Armour branding on the strap, as well as the outsole. DeAndre’s jersey number “6″ appears on the tongue.

Under Armour looks to end the year off right by providing some of their signature players with “Christmas” edition player exclusives. Seen here is a variety of designs, each of which features a colorway that matches one of their signature players’ team colors. Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks receives an eye-catching version of the Micro G Bloodline, while Greivis Vasquez and Kemba Walker receive some interesting colorways in the Micro G Juke. Last but not least is Derrick Williams, whose version of the Micro G Supersonic sports a silver look. Check out the detailed photos below.

Air Jordan 4 GS ‘Ultraviolet’

With the return of the Air Jordan 4 next year you can expect to see several colorways of the sneaker that were not included in the original release. Jordan Brand will have a little something for everyone however as evidenced in this upcoming Ultraviolet colorway.

The GS model features a white leather upper with a suede toe box for an immediate burst of textural appeal. The main event of the sneaker is its use of ultraviolet and it is done in a very interesting way with not only an ultraviolet midsole with black flecks but also features black on the ankle and wings with ultraviolet flecks. These are sure to be a hit when they make their way to retailers next year so stay tuned for release information.

Vans Era CA – White / Tan – Size? Exclusive

UK-based Size? typically has plenty of Nike exclusives, but today we’re seeing something different. The shop actually has a few exclusives of the low-top Era from the Vans California collection. Shown here is a pair that sports smooth white leather on the front end and heel cup, while matching white perforated leather covers the rest of the shoe. Touches of tan are visible on the lining and ribbing, while metal shoe lacing eyelets are applied. What are your thoughts on these?

Nike WMNS Air Baked Mid Motion ‘Duckboot’

As hybrid sneakers go there are just some silhouettes that you don’t expect to see mixed up together. Enter the Nike WMNS Air Baked Mid Motion ‘Duckboot’. The shoes build was already unique enough without the duck boot accents but we can say that it does add a bit of oomph to the toe box. The other obvious benefit is that the sneakers are now as waterproof as they are comfortable. These are certainly fit for the winter slush and should be hitting shelves very soon.

Reebok x Meek Mill for Strawberry Mansion High School

Reebok and Meek Mill recently teamed up to lend a helping hand to Strawberry Mansion High School in Philadelphia, PA. Because of budget cuts, the school’s athletic programs have taken a big hit and Reebok worked with Meek to donate basketball gear, duffles, tees, socks, shorts, sleeves, snapbacks and footwear, to both the boys and girls teams. Additionally, Reebok took an extra step and gave the boys the new Blast Sneakers, and the girls the new Classic Chi-Kaze sneaker. Shoutout to Reebok for extending an hand and helping out. Vans California Era 48 – Spring 2012

For Spring 2012, Vans California looks to hit us off with some new colorways in its Era 48 model. The low-top silhouette is seen here in three colorways, all of which are constructed from suede, and sport brown leather heels as well as white soles. They come in a choice of burgundy, navy, and olive, and are scheduled to drop early next year. Stay tuned in for more information regarding their availability.

Adding to the list of new arrivals from Emerica is this fresh design in the Wino silhouette. Whether you choose to rock this on or off the skateboard, it’s a dope look. The shoe features a premium suede throughout the entire upper, with canvas-piping adding a nice touch. Brandon Jennings Wears “AIDS Awareness” Bloodline PE At Media Day

World AIDS Day took place on December 1st, and recently, to commemorate the special day, Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks wore a unique pair of Bloodline PEs at Media Day. Inspired by World AIDS Day, the shoe features an all red design, which features bold “WE > AIDS” lettering in tonal 3M across the midfoot strap. As of now they are just player exclusives, but if they were to release to retailers, with proceeds going to aid HIV and AIDS research, that would definitely be dope! (hint, hint).

NBA and Under Armour Establish Multiyear Partnership

We’ve seen players rock Under Armour gear on the NBA hardwood, but there were some limitations as to what Under Armour could do with its endorsements. For example, the UA was not allowed to use NBA uniforms in its ad campaigns. Recently, the two established multiyear deal, which we’re sure UA is happy about, as it allows them to further promote their growing list of signature players, which right now includes Brandon Jennings, Kemba Walker, Derrick Williams and Greivis Vasquez.

“Partnering with the NBA allows us to showcase our innovative basketball footwear and roster of young, talented players through a platform that represents the pinnacle of the sport,” said Matt Mirchin, Senior Vice President, Global Sports Marketing, at Under Armour. “We share a passion with the NBA to help young basketball players get better, and our joint court refurbishment program will create more access to functional basketball courts where the next generation can hone their skills.”

Medicom x Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium TZ ‘Be@rbrick 10th Anniversary’

Here is yet another look at the collaboration between Nike and Medicom. The Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium TZ silhouette is helping the toy company celebrate its 10th anniversary of Be@arbrick and doing so in high fashion. Just check out the horse hair upper and stamped leather insole. These are made to commemorate Moon Bear and Brown bear and will only be available at the Be@rbrick World Tour 2 and of course they are limited.
