Whenever you see Y-3 precede the name of a model its almost a given that the sneaker won’t be your average model. The label typically boasts the more daring side of adidas and with the release of the Black Savage this hasn’t changed one bit.

The vicious Yohji Yamamoto designed sneaker features a black upper with a bold blocky lace flap that is held in place by blue elastic bands. It’s almost hard to take full notice to the upper however based on the sneakers Tricore outsole that looks like it has a bit of bite, literally. That is also where a hit of color comes in with red and blue being incorporated into the mix. A shell toe gives the sneaker a bit of classic juxtaposition in a very non predictable way.

Jeremy Scott at adidas Originals NYC Store Tomorrow

His work with adidas Originals has been profiled across the web and has been endorsed from almost every major designer or fashionista. I am not sure if Dwight Howard is trying to take my job, but he has decided that it was okay to review his own sneaker, the adidas adiPower Howard 2. Set in a locker room, Dwight goes over all the top points of the sneaker, including the shattered glass inspired outsole and the inclusion of miCoach from adidas. As part of its Spring 2012 collection, the adidas Archive series has focused on several models, including the adidas Malmö, adidas München, and adidas Kopenhagen. Here we see that latter in two new colorways. The 80s era shoe is seen here in a choice of columbia blue / light grey or dark sand /dark brown, both of which utilize suede and leather uppers. Other features include perforated panels towards the back ends for ventilation, as well as a unique print on the tongues. Find both versions now at accounts including SNS.

adidas Originals BC (Baltic Cup) – Dark Clay / Warning Orange

The adidas BC has been getting some action during this early part of 2012, as we recently previewed the adidas Originals BC – Black / White and the adidas Originals BC – Satellite Blue / Sun Yellow.

Now we’re seeing another version of the handball silhouette surface, this time sporting a dark clay suede base, which is contrasted with orange leather detailing on the shoe laces, tongue branding, stripes, heel tab, and lining. Finishing off the look is a dark gum rubber sole. Look for these to drop at adidas Originals shops including End in March.

adidas Originals ZX 500 – Spring 2012 Collection

Today we’re taking a collective look at some upcoming colorways in the adidas Originals ZX 500, which includes the adidas Originals ZX 500 – Blue / Sun Yellow we previewed at the end of January.

The 80s era sneaker is seen here in four colorways, all of which sport a combination of suede, leather, and mesh along the uppers. Other than the blue / sun yellow scheme, we also see core energy red/white/grey, pool blue/white/grey, and black/white/grey. Look for them to hit adidas shops including End upon release.

We originally previewed the adidas Originals JS Wings “Denim” last summer, and today we’ve come across new images of this Jeremy Scott creation.

The silhouette already sports a unique wings design that stands out, and this pair will definitely grab your attention as it utilizes a light blue denim upper, contrasted with beige contrasts, including the stitching.

Finishing off the look is a translucent outsole. Look for these to at adidas Originals accounts now including TGWO.

One of the best runners ever cooked up by adidas is hands down the adidas ZX 8000. For fans of the sneaker next month you will have the chance to choose between two ‘super’ silhouettes. The sneakers are set to come in mesh backed by super cyan or suede with hits of super green. adidas SLVR High Top Buckle

Check out this new High Top Buckle sneaker from the adidas SLVR line. The shoe is part of the brand’s Spring / Summer 2012 collection, and is highlighted by two elastic Velcro straps and white buckles.

The shoe sports a predominantly black design, along with a white toe, and utilizes sever materials including leather, canvas, and mesh. Anchoring the look is an adidas Originals Campus sole. You can scoop these up now at the SLVR online shop where they retail for $200.

A few days ago we saw the adidas Originals BC (Baltic Cup) – Satellite Blue / Sun Yellow, and today we’re getting a look at another version of the adidas BC, which was named after the now renamed Baltic Cup Handball Tournament.

This time around the shoe utilizes a black suede suede upper, which is contrasted with touches of white on the tongue branding, heel, inner lining, shoe laces, and leather stripes along the side. Finishing off the look is a dark gum rubber sole, reminiscent of the adidas Samba. Look for these to drop in March at accounts including SNS.

adidas Originals focuses their attention on the streets with an update to the adi-Rise, the adidas Originals AR2.0. The model is directly inspired by the adidas Forum Mid basketball shoe, which has gotten quite a bit of attention over the last year. Geared toward the NBA All-Star game, the model feature a navy blue base with orange highlights throughout. Patent leather touches at the toe and along the trim solidify the models off-court appeal, while a vulcanized outsole make it fit for some kick flip and fakey grind love. Look for the adidas Originals AR2.0 at select retailers for $95.

The NBA All-Star weekend is just a few weeks away, and adidas has let slip an official look at the jerseys your favorite players will be wearing. Staying true to the traditional colors, the East will be rocking blue and the West will be rocking red. The uniforms were inspired by the 20th anniversary of the memorable 1992 NBA All-Star game which was also held in Orlando and saw Magic Johnson winning the MVP award. With the All-Star game happening in Orlando, you knew it was only a matter of time before the All-Star silhouette of the Dwight Howard made its way to the web. Though he reps the East, Dwight’s signature All-Star sneaker borrows a shade of orange from the jersey of the West for the majority of its upper. Details include a signature shattered glass graphic throughout the shoe, his signature on the heel, uniform
number on the medial side and a Superman inspired tongue featuring his ”dh” logo.

As the NBA All-Star game roles around, those limited edition special silhouettes will start to hit the internetz. The first one to officially hit the webz is the adidas adiZero Rose 2.5 “All-Star”. Though Derrick Rose plays for the East, his signature kicks borrow from the orange in the jersey of the West. The modified upper of the adiZero Rose 2.5 uses the orange to coat the premium SPRINTFRAME and enlarged SPRINTWEB area, as well as the tongue and laces. Final touches include white 3-Stripes on the heel as well as a white liner. Look for the adidas adiZero Rose 2.5 “All-Star” to retail for $110.

As we prepare for the launch of the adidas adizero Rose 2.5, we wanted take a quick video look at a pair of the MVP’s signature sneakers. Framed after the Crazy light, the model stays light at only 11 ounces, and still feels sturdy for some rugged on court play.
