The Air Jordan 12 Chinese New Year flaunts a classic color scheme of black and white — reminiscent of the AJ 12 Taxi. White leather covers the majority of its upper, which also inherits a 3M reflective overlay that activates when exposed to flash. Textured black leather covers the mudguard and heel tab, while woodgrain detailing is implemented on the miniature branded side panels and and top two upper eyelets. Rounding out the design is Chinese text of ‘貳拾’ evidenced on the tongues, which translates to ’12’ and clear pods on the outsole.
