In 1984, Adidas embarked on creating a clothing and shoe line for tennis pro Ivan Lendl. There were two memorable models in the Lendl range: The Lendl Competition and the Lendl Supreme. The earlier models had a breathable nylon upper and resembled a low- top Adidas Concord with a mesh upper. The latter model was a lot chunkier and was produced from soft- grained leather, with metal eyelets.
