The first- celebrity-endorsed basketball shoe, the Adidas JAbbar was a big hit in its original production years.  Long before kids desired to be like MIKE, Kareem Abdul- Jabbar’s shoe was a “must have”.  The unforgettable campaign for this shoe included shots in Sports Illustrated, including a goggle- clad Kareem performing his trademark ‘sky-hook’ shot.
