Adidas GazelleThere are many misconceptions as to the original purpose of this shoe. Many believe that its silhouette suggests that it is an indoor soccer shoe, and over the years has gain popularity among soccer fans.  It has also been proposed that the shoe’s original purpose was for running.  Either way, the general consensus is that the model was created as an all purpose athletic training shoe.

The Adidas Gazelle was launched in 1968 as an all-round training shoe and features as an all-round training shoe and features a flat sole with soft velour leather uppper. Seen everywhere in the world at some stage, and in a good range of colors, the Gazelle had a huge following among U.K. soccer fans.

The Gazelle is a stunning shoe.  Its sleek design, together with its simple styling and flat sole are topped off with a beautiful suede upper to create a classic shoe. It truly jumped onto the scene in the 80’s, and onto the UK hip hop scene, when the Campus and Superstar were not yet widely available.

It was released in a variety of colors, and is still worn today by b-boys such as Ken Swift and Flowmaster.  It was also adopted by Brit- pop groups in the 90’s, including the likes of Oasis.
