Though images of the adidas adiZero Rose 2.5 have been floating around the web, Derrick Rose and adidas officially announced the sneaker today. Modeled after the adidas Crazy Light and the adiZero Rose 2, the Rose 2.5 comes in at only 11 ounces and reigns supreme as the lightest signature sneaker Rose has played in. Signature details include “ROSE” on the tongue, three stripes branding on the back, Derrick’s jersey number “1″ on the toe, and his signature on the sockliner.
As with Derrick’s past signature models, adidas has included SPRINTFRAME and an enlarged SPRINTWEB are to reduce weight, add support and allow maximum motion control. Additionally, adidas has included a GEOFIT memory foam collar at the ankle to help accomodate for Rose’s adizero Speed Wrap Ankle Brace. In a nod to training athletes, adidas has implemented their miCoach, which will allow you to track your accomplishments on your computer. The adizero Rose 2.5 will be available in home and away colorways at February 2 at Foot Locker, Eastbay and shopadidas.com for MSRP $110.
