In the sneaker world the Chinese New Year is and always will be a big deal. It gives brands an opportunity to flex their creative muscle and concoct pairs like the Converse Year of the Dragon Pack, the New Balance 574 Year of the Dragon Pack or the Nike Zoom KD 4 Year of the Dragon.
Nike is also set to give one of their contemporary classics the themed treatment with the addition of the Nike Dunk Low GS to the Year of the Dragon roster. Black textured leather is set against black grain leather paneling with gleaming gold accents on the swoosh and heel tab. The look is accented in red on the outsole and embroidred 2012 along its heel tab as a pretty cool finishing touch while a dragon head on the insole lets you know just what this release is all about.
