Air Jordan 2012 "University Blue"

2012 will have its own Jordan Brand signature shoe, the Air Jordan 2012. We’ve already previewed a few subtle colorways, and today we’re getting a look at a pair that sports a university blue colorway. The monotone design is contrasted with touches of white and grey on the Jumpman logo, tongue, shoe laces, and outsole. The shoe features the latest technologies, including flywire, and is constructed from suede. What are your thoughts on these, and how do they compare to the Air Jordan 2011?

    I do not like this shoe design from the pictures. I’ll have to wait til they drop to make a final judgement. Sometimes they look different when you see them in person.

    The huge jumpman on the side makes these look like a team Jordan. When did any of the other j’s have a huge jumpman on em????? Get that shut off a we might have somethin.

    Well, these look slightly better than the previous color ways I’ve seen. This is slightly better than the YOTD cw. I like the monotone on the upper; I think BRED cw might end up looking the best. As other posts have mentioned, the enlarged jumpman logo on the side is NOT something I like that much. I’d either like it smaller or removed entirely. Another option would be to make the jumpman logo made out of perforations, like the rest of the brogue detailing on the shoe.

    2011 > 2012……drop the fly wire crap, looks cheap! Use some premium materials for your flagship shoe +$180! The design has got some promise but the color scheme and material are weak so far, I’m not impressed!
