This past Friday, December 23rd, we saw, for the third consecutive year, a pair of Air Jordan 11s release right before Christmas. Two years ago it was the Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Space Jam’, then last year it was the ‘Cool Grey’ version, and this year, we saw the Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Concord’ make its way back to shelves.

Across the United States, thousands of people lined up at their nearest mall or sneaker store to try and get their hands on a pair, and as tensions rose, over-eager shoppers started rioting and breaking down doors and malls, as well as fighting one another. It was so bad that at some places, shots were even being fired, and people who did purchase the shoes were being robbed on the way home.

The shoes release across the nation, selling for $180 a pair, but are in such high demand that people are going crazy over them. According to estimates, Nike is said to have netted about $1 billion dollars over the release of the shoe.

We must admit that the Air Jordan 11 ‘Concord’ is definitely dope, but at the end of the day, it’s just a shoe, and not worth losing your life over.

I know the problem in Louisville Kentucky was a lack of preparation on behalf of the malls and the shoe stores. One Footlocker manager started a riot when he threw the roll of tickets that got you a pair of concords in the air. One kid caught the roll and had atleast 200 people chasing him through the mall. To me the problem seems to be the shoe stores are looking to make huge profit while risking the safety of the consumers. It’s not the first time something like this has happened. The malls and shoe stores need to have a system in place for events like this and spend a few dollars on having police at the mall.

hahahah those guys r idiots….i got 3 pairs of the cocords..and i sold 2 each for 400..i think these shoes are tight but they arent worth all that trouble…i think its stupid because you want them so bad and you do something to get in trouble and you go to jail and now u cant get them ..just go get some difernt ones or just wait till they get dropped agian

Here’s the solution:stop giving a shit about fucking sneakers. At the end of the day its just shoes. Don’t waste your money and life collecting this, especially if you’re an old man now. This shit is so adolescent. I know so many sneaker heads who feel retarded now for dropping so much money on this shit
