Nike Zoom Kobe 7 – White / Concord – Black

With each passing year sneaker releases get more high-tech and Kobe’s new release seems like it looks to take the award for technological advances. For his seventh sneaker the silhouette employs an ankle brace that wraps itself around a ‘Play Fast’ midsole cushion and can be seen from the outside of the sneakers heel. The low cut sneaker also features an upper that looks to have flywire like technology embedded along its midpanel for lightweight durability. Stay tuned for more updates about this release.

I don't mind the continued technological exploration of this signature shoe. I kind of like the minimal flywire upper, but I dislike the angular midsole. I thought the Kobe 6 was an amazing shoe from an aesthetic stand point; the snake skin texture to the upper was an incredible idea. I like the look of the ankle brace, but it just seems like a bland design. I don't play much basketball anymore and primarily purchase hoops sneakers for comfort and looks. These might be a great performance shoe, but I'd likely pass.
