Athletes are often the inspiration for great sneaker pieces. Nike’s latest project is a tribute to debatably one of the greatest boxers of our generation. Filipino politician/boxer Manny Pacquiao can now boast about his very own Nike Zoom Huarache Air Trainer low.
The shoe is themed on the flag of the Philipines. It contains a white upper with blue and red inner as well as a blue toebox. Blue fades to white on the midsoles as the shoe is rounded off with a gold swoosh. This colorway should build some hype for the “Pacquiao vs Mosley” fight; that takes place May 7th. Maybe one day we’ll see a Nike Dunk High or a Nike Air Force low to commemorate a “Pacquiao vs Mayweather” bout.
