The Nike LeBron 8 V2 “Entourage” or Blue and Yellows as Nike officially called it, caused quite a stir last night at the Footaction in Culver City. Things kicked off about 11 p.m., and by then there was already over 100 people in line. Luckily, the store was prepared and almost everyone that came was able to get what they came for.

After talking to a few people in line, I came to find out that a lot of people that were in line missed out on the South Beach LeBrons, and wanted to make sure they got these. Many had only seen the shoe online and wanted to get a glimpse of the photo blue upper in person. Under the balanced light of the Footaction store, the photo blue literally jumped off the sneaker. Many exclaimed at the contrast presented by the yellow Nike Swoosh against the upper and how they felt this was one you just could not miss. For others, it was the tie to the HBO show “Entourage”. Between their love for the shoe and their love for LeBron, copping this shoe was almost a no brainer.

Of course there was plenty of heat in the line. From Foamposites, to Kobes to LeBrons to Air Max, folks brought out the good stuff looked fresh while doing it. One thing about being in California is that there is always some unreleased heat on the streets. For this release, we were lucky enough to catch some Electric Green Foamposite Pros, and the Kobe VI Supreme “Rice”. Other things I found out while hanging out and talking with folks like @shoewolf and @topflightkix, is that people were already looking forward to the next big shoe to drop. For many, that shoe is the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue”. Though the shoe is not set to hit until June, it looks like I know when I will be hitting the late night lines again. In the mean time, enjoy some images from the event.
