Shannon Brown, Kevin Durant, and Brandon Jennings at Foot Locker Center Court

While out at the Jordan Brand store at Footaction at the Culver City Mall, I found out that Brandon Jennings, Shannon Brown, and Kevin Durant were going to be stopping by the Foot Locker Center court. Since we were already there, we figured it only made since to run down and snap a few pics.

Kevin Durant was first, and even though we were in Los Angeles, the crowd lined up to see him. Just like we see on the court, the tall and lanky scoring leader came out cheers and signed autographs for the people in line. The best part was that for me was his interaction with the fans. People has him signing some of everything. Their were jerseys, t-shirts, posters, and basketballs, with one fan even having him sign the shirt he had on. From a distance, these star players all seem untouchable, and KD made sure that was not the case yesterday. As his time came to a close, KD gave one lucky fan a pair of tickets to the 3-point contest this weekend, leaving the fans still in attendance a big smile on their faces.

An hour or so after KD left, one of LA’s own made a stop by the Foot Locker Center Court, Shannon Brown. As you can imagine, the fans were on high alert and screams could be heard from all around the mall as he hit the stage. We were clearly in Los Angeles, and the Laker fans were letting them know they loved him by screaming his name. Keeping it a little fresher than the rest, Shannon came rocking Yves-Saint Laurent, and even had the scarf and sneakers to match. Flashing that smile the ladies love soo much didn’t help at all as screams of affection for Shannon shot out from the crowd the entire time he was there. Purple and gold clad fans spent their few minutes with the Laker star and he was as gracious as ever taking pictures, signing autographs, and shaking hands with fans.

Brandon Jennings may play across the country, but Los Angeles fans remember his Compton High School roots and came out to support him. Rocking a pair of Converse, BJ walked in to screams of adoring fans. Many of the fans came empty-handed, which cause a bit of an issue at the end, as they ran out of pictures for him to sign. However Brandon just rode with in and instead took personal picture as well as signed whatever fans would have him sign to make up for it. One fan even had him talk on the phone to a friend who didn’t believe she was meeting the Buck star point guard. Los Angeles definitely loves Brandon Jennings. Maybe when he is done in Milwaukee, he can make a trek out here and run with one of the hometown teams?? I got a chance to ask him about his All-Star sneaker, and his response was, “You’ll have to see it at the game.” Boooo. LOL
