The Nike Air Force 1 “Year of the Rabbit” may be getting all the shine, but Nike also put together the “East LA” model seen here for the NBA All-Star game. The model is one of the few created by Nike to celebrate the culture and aesthetic of Los Angeles.
The “East LA” includes a smooth black leather overlays on top of tonal nubuck on the side panels and toe box. The Nike Swoosh gets a bit of neutral color with some cool grey, while the liner sits in white. The sole is completely black, but come with grey stitching and branding. Other details include tattoo-style “LA” graphics on the tongue and insole.
