adidas Originals Superstar Lite LTO

adidas Originals has taken the task of breaking down one of the footwear industries most iconic sneakers, the Superstar. Seen here in two colorways, Grey or Navy Blue, the new look not only compliments the classic, but thins it out just enough to give it a new shape.

A notable change is the addition of metal eyelets, something most purist despise on the sneaker, however in this setting it works. The shell toe remains, but opts for a tonal color instead of the usual white. To thin the design out, adidas has removed a lot of the inner padding, thus the “Lite” portion of the moniker. Other details include a lighter foam rubber, with some extra flex grooves on the herringbone outsole. Both versions will be available in March at Crooked Tongues.
