Updated: Release date is Friday, January 28, with Eastbay and Nike releasing at midnight tonight.
The Kobe Zoom VI “East LA” made an appearance at the House of Hoops in Beverly Hills yesterday courtesy of @rob_melrose, and we also learned that the show was a part of an All-Star Pack City Pack series Nike will be releasing starting Friday and continuing every week up until the All-Star game. From what we know now, the “East LA” will release in limited quantities this Friday at select locations, including House of Hoops Beverly Hills, as a QuickStrike. In addition, we will also seen an “Orange County” version which will release in the next few weeks.
The “East LA” Nike Zoom Kobe VI hold true to the LA blue on the upper, only relinquishing real estate to a soft silhouette of the East LA skyline. Sport red provides a bit of relief on the branding, while a translucent outsole sits below. Within the heel cup we are greeted with artwork reminiscent of LA culture in metallic silver, an attribute that is also reproduced on the insole. Look for them to hit at 12:00 AM Eastern Time to over at Eastbay or Nike.
