During the mid 80′s, Nike released the Air Vortex as part of their V-Series, and it became well-known and widely popular due to its superior cushioning system. Well the good news is that Nike is retroing the runner in its original colorway, as well as a few other styles.
The shoe may have been at the forefront of the running shoe class back in its day, but there is always room for improvement. Nike has updated it with a cushioning system that includes Lunarlor and Max Air, borrowed from the Nike LunarMax, hence the name. The end result is basically a fusion of the two classics. Shown here are four colorways, each of which can be picked up now at Nike’s online store. Listed below are other tech specs of the shoe:
-Lunarlon cushioning for a soft, bouncy ride
-Max Air unit in heel for superior cushioning and impact protection
-Combination mesh and leather upper for superior fit and breathability
-Rubber outsole with Waffle pattern for traction and durability
-Nike+ Ready
-Combine the Nike LunarMax+ Vortex Men’s Shoe with a Nike + iPod Sport Kit or Sensor to get real-time feedback on your time, distance, pace and calories burned.
