After leaving the Footaction at 2 am, I decided to head over to the House of Hoops LA to see how folks were feeling and get a vibe for the release. As is the norm, all the talk revolved around sneakers, with the exception of the lady from the hotel across the street who was locked out on her balcony. (But that is another story entirely).

Knowing they would have to wait until 5 am to get their shoes, many of those in line were bundled up for the chilly LA weather. Considering the line has to wait outside the mall, those in attendance were definitely lucky that the rain we have been having here in LA stopped. Snuggies, hoodies, beanies, and lawn chairs were par for the course at the event, and helped protect folks from the elements. Available now on eBay.

Though I didn’t stay until they opened, I did get a chance to catch some of the dope kicks waiting in line as well as some shots of the line. From what I understand, everyone pretty much was taken care of, and things went off without a hitch.

As a side note, a lot of people who I talked to are pretty hyped about the different colorways of the Air Jordan Retro 3. From what I hear the White/Cement drops in January, with the black and the blue pairs dropping soon after.
