We are pretty used to seeing the Converse Jack Purcell in a simple construction. The shoe serves as a time capsule of sorts to a bygone era where process dictated style and simplicity was implicit. Looks like the guys at Converse decided to put a 2010 spin on the sneaker with this “Zipper” model and the results are rather jarring.
The shoe has a suede lace up panel that has a canvas zippered portion sewn in making the upper on this one very noticeable. The requisite vulcanized outsole is still in tact and you can get them in either off white or black. These are limited to 500 per pair and will only be at select retailers. Via SF
