Set to hit House of Hoops locations this Saturday, September 18 is the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier IV Akron. Like the previous version of the shoe, it sits in a University of Akron “Zips” colorway that is mostly white on the exterior and blue on the interior of the upper. A gold logo appears on the tongue of the sneaker as well as gold accents along the trimmings. A half white, half black midsole sits below and is secured by a rear Air Unit. As a small bit of trivia knowledge, the “Zips” got their name, which is short for Zippers, because Akron is the home of the BF Goodrich company which was renowned for debuting zip-up galoshes in 1923.
