Back in March, we introduced you to the Nike 78 project. The project involved Nike giving a pair of Nike shoes to 78 artist to create something different than what the shoe was originally intended. While a few of the projects were featured here, they mostly leaned toward a more artistic approach to the shoe. Nike Marsh contribution to the experiment has taken a more technical approach as he has combined the internals of a Wii Balance board with a pair fo Air Max.
While the execution is not perfect, since you can’t step of the board, you’re required to lift your foot or sit down when you need to back off on the pressure, the idea is definitely interesting. Nick completed the project in April, and word is that a more polished version may be upcoming. Check out the video below for the Nike Air Max Wii in action.
