The Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 is one of those retros that was way ahead of its time initially so rereleasing it may mean that the world has finally caught up to its robotic feeling upper. The busy sneaker tries to calm down a bit with this Black/Metallic Silver-Varsity Red colorway however and it definitely looks great in doing so.
Black leather and nubuck finds itself being invaded by metallic silver TPU teardrops on the sole that lead us down to a similar colored air sole. While varsity red is used pretty sparingly it’s definitely very necessary to the design as it as the appropriate amount of pop. These are available now on eBay thanks to footsoldiers
