Converse First String has been on the collaboration hustle lately. The latest connection comes courtesy of New York’s Nom de Guerre. Together the two companies worked on the Skidgrip.
In general, the Skidgrip is a low profile sneaker that doesn’t have a lot of flash to it. Keeping with that theme, Nom de Guerre changes to the sneaker contribute to the overall design of the show while maintaining the simple aesthetic of the shoe. The upper is all black and sits atop an off-white outsole. Copper eyelets provide that guide for the midnight black round laces, and a return to the off-white marks the liner. These are set to release at select Converse First String retailers on July 30th, including HAVEN.
