Only available at very select location like Bodega (Boston), Just Be (Portland), KICKS/HI (Honolulu), Nice Kicks (Austin), Shoe Gallery (Miami), St. Alfred (Chicago), and UBIQ (Philadelphia), Converse First String releases the Auckland Racer. It was only a few days ago that we got a glance at a saks collaboration on another first string sneaker, and today we get a look at a more athletic version with the Auckland.
A remnant of the 1970s, the sneaker is considered to be one of the forefathers of the jogging movement. The upper is constructed of a reflective TPU and nylon mesh which promotes safety for the runner. As seen above, the colorways are monotone, grey, black and enamel blue, with a white sole. Look for these to retail for $85 at the location listed above this week.
