The retro game is going full force these days, and PUMA is dipping into their closet of classics to bring out a few silhouettes. Today we get a look at the PUMA Whirlwind, a lightweight running shoe originally released in 1980.
The shoe was built on a racing spike last with a multi pimpled outsole for extra shock absorption, and was ideal for racing and training on most surfaces. For the re-issue, PUMA decided on the web blue/white colorway that really highlights the shoe’s sleek design. Quality suede and nylon contribute to the shoe stylish appeal while the gum sole adds to the classic presence. Finally, a sweeping white leather PUMA Formstripe and Whirlwind branding on the side complete the design. They are available now at size?
