Wale’s 50 Favorite Sneakers

Wale is one of the few celebrity sneakerheads that seems to really have a grasp of the shoe game. Who can forget the uproar it caused when he was spotted wearing the foamposites before they were released. Recently, Wale sat down with Complex and talked about his 50 favorite sneakers. As you would expect, there are shoes that almost every sneakerhead has in their collection, but on the other hand, there are a few that will definitely surprise you. I like that a few of them have an emotional connection and that is they they are on his list.

Agreed! And the 10 pairs were all Jordans! Hahaha! I’m sure that some of the ones that he chose were comfortable as hell, but they ugly as FCUK too! I ain’t chosing a shoe solely based on comfort though… otherwise I’d have nothing but Hush Puppies and Bostonians. No thanks! He was right about couple of things though, ‘you da man if you got sneaks early!’ and that J’s were the most important shoes to get back in the day ( that’s pretty much still the case now ).

i thought his list was straight. I was surprised that he didn’t have more non Jordan basketball sneakers…I’ve seen videos and pictures of him with Uptempo’s, Bakin’s, Garnett’s, etc. I thought it was straight though, at least he know his shit

me and wale got almost the same taste, although im not to fond of dunks, i did like his taste in js, and foamposites, its funny cuz if all of us had money, i guarantee that 95% of us would have better collections than these clowns, wale is dope though, he remebers he strolls down memory lane and remember what kicks he was rockin lol
