The vulcanized sole has been around forever, but it has been in recent history that brands have started applying the classic sole to uncommon silhouettes. New Balance has thrown its hat in to the vulcanized sole game with a new sneaker dubbed the V74.

Inspired by the new Balance 574, the sneaker looks like an original version that was created before all the fancy leather crafting came into play. Sporting a vulcanized sole and a completely canvas upper forces the sneaker to have a “flatter” profile. They are available in navy blue and black colorways, with contrasting black or silver eyelets, respectively. What do you think of the V74?
