It is amazing to me how just changing the colorway of a sneaker can give it a totally different feel. Take these Nike Air Max 90 Premiums in a white/team red/black colorway for instance, they feel like the dark evil version of the Nike Air Max 90 White/Team Red/Gold.

Nike decided to use strong colors for this model and clearly intended for it to stand out. Covered in a leather construction, team red and white provided most of the visuals on the shoes upper. Uncharacteristically, black is used as an accent instead of a base and helps to darken the silhouette as a whole. A white midsole helps round things out and set the stage for the team red outsole.
