Nike Trainer 1 – Vintage Box Edition

Why should the retro mania be limited to only sneakers? Nike has taken the retro game one step further and decided to retro their old shoe boxes. To commemorate the event, they have dressed up their latest trainer in a Vintage Box colorway.

The shoes sport a saftey orange upper that is constructed of suede, nubuck, and ballistic mesh. The shoe’s lining is colored a light grey which coordinates with the grey angle stripped midsole. The outsole also sports a bit of the light grey, but also has pieces that proudly display the safety orange. Technology wise, the sneakers sport a Nike Free-inspired midsole and DiamondFLX outsole. In addition to looking like the boxes, the shoes will actually come in the old Nike boxes. They are taking retro to the next level. They are available at the Nike store as well as other online retailers starting today.

    I think its a cool idea. I wish JB did the same thing with their retros. That would be a nice touch.

    Just picked a pair. They’re awesome in person but I they did NOT come in the old shoe box. Very disappointed about that.

    I got em too. shoes are dope but the box is plain. i thought it was coming with the old box???
