It is alwasy great to hear that designers and brands are doing things to help the environment. Whether it is using a manufacturing process that has a saller carbon footprint, or using materials that are natural, it helps push the day when we fall victim to our robot overlords further and further away. The latest brand to help us out is Palladium with their new Hemp Pampa High boot.
Seen here in a butternut and dark slate color-up, the boots look like any other boot you would see from a manufacturer. The upper is composed hemp, “a lightweight and breathable fabric that’s perfect for the warmer weather ahead”, and is lined with canvas. The outsole is constructed of a putty rubber and hep laces with bamboo tips are added in also. Palladium also produced these boots in a leather and suede model, but I think I like the whole hemp thing. They are available now at palladiumboots.com.
