With all the different designers getting in on sneakers, it is no wonder that the line between athletic and casual has been continually blurred. A prime example of this trend can be found in the Nike Aina Chukka.
Seen here in a stone/white colorway, the Chukka uses texture and soft color hints to mix sport and style. The upper is constructed of suede in a stone color and uses a soft green as an accent color on the lining. The side panels exhibit a finely woven suede that is briefly interrupted by a broken line of leather; which matches the shoe’s laces. The tow box suede is perforated and give the shoe an athletic feel, but the overall design screams casual. Finally, the white vulcanized midsole shows a stripe of connected diamonds.
