We have seen several designs involving Rod Laver. We saw the adidas Consortium x DQM Rod Laver Pack, we saw the James Bond for David Beckham x adidas Originals – Rod Laver Super, and in January, we saw the Adidas Consortium Rod Laver {UNDFTD Edition}. This time we get the adidas Originals Rod Laver Vintage Summer 2010 collection.
Set in a tradition “tennis” shoe silhouette, the Rod Laver Vintage by adidas Originals presents itself in a either a white upper or a black upper. Using a combination of mesh and leather, the thin sneaker gives of a classic appeal that is rarely matched in athletic shoes. For those into a white upper, adidas has accented it with either a green suede heel tab and branding or a red suede heel and branding. However, for those that like black uppers, a black heel tab and branding is present. All three pairs sit on a white outsole.
