We saw plenty of adidas Originals Consortium styles last year, for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2010 season, Rod Laver’s OG signature sneaker is making its return in three new colorways. Seen here in navy, green, and lemon, the release is a collaboration with DQM in New York City.
The upper, composed of leather and mesh, stays true to the original clean and simple design with the exception of the missing 3-Stripe logo. However, the lack of design element allows the quality of the materials used to construct the shoe to really shine through. From the tongue, to the toe box, to the lace stays, quality leather and suede are used to complete the build. adidas and DQM branding can be spotted on the tongue, while the Consortium branding is spotted on the heel and eyelets. The final touches are seen in the white herringbone outsole that matches the ankle tab and lining. Look for these at your local Consortium retailer starting March 13th.
