With the release of the Nike Air Griffey – Grey / Teal around the corner, today’s Clash of the Kicks puts the top 3 color-ways of the Nike Air Griffey’s released over the past year. The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 originally debuted back in 1996 as The Kid (Ken Griffey Jr.) was making a name for himself on the Seattle Mariners. Many sneakerheads patiently awaited for a retro release and their wish was granted in 2009 with the much anticipated releases of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Fresh Water and Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Varsity Royal Blue / Volt. During Ken Griffey’s career, the slugger also played for other teams including the Cincinnati Reds. The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Anthracite / Black – Hot Red was inspired by the Cincinnati Reds colorway.
The Nike Air Griffey – Grey / Teal are releasing as Quick Strikes on February 20, 2010, which means they will be a limited release. We can definitely expect them to sell out upon release. Which color-way do you think is the hottest?
