With the release of the Nike Air Griffey – Grey / Teal around the corner, today’s Clash of the Kicks puts the top 3 color-ways of the Nike Air Griffey’s released over the past year. Did Nike save the best for last? You are going to help us decide. Check out all the previous colorways released in 2009:

• Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Fresh Water
• Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Varsity Royal Blue / Volt
• Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Anthracite / Black – Hot Red
• Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Black / Black

The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 originally debuted back in 1996 as The Kid (Ken Griffey Jr.) was making a name for himself on the Seattle Mariners. Many sneakerheads patiently awaited for a retro release and their wish was granted in 2009 with the much anticipated releases of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Fresh Water and Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Varsity Royal Blue / Volt. During Ken Griffey’s career, the slugger also played for other teams including the Cincinnati Reds. The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – Anthracite / Black – Hot Red was inspired by the Cincinnati Reds colorway.
The Nike Air Griffey – Grey / Teal are releasing as Quick Strikes on February 20, 2010, which means they will be a limited release. We can definitely expect them to sell out upon release. Which color-way do you think is the hottest?
