Japanese Brand MUG (Minotaur Urban Gear), no relation to UGG, was started six years ago to combine elegant design and everyday functionality. Eiichi Izumi, the companies founder, wanted excellent design and ease of use to be the foundation; a concept derived from the 1930s Surrealist collaborative publication of Dali and Picasso.
The Mouton Boot, pictured here, is a desert boot made of suede. The thick crepe sole does well to compliment the three available colorways as well the wax laces. The usage of contrasting white stitching and sheepskin lining add just the right amount of design flare to this otherwise functional design. They are available now at oki-ni.
