With today’s technology, it is getting harder and harder to tell the real kicks from the fake. Bobby Fresh and his ‘Fake Sneakers Aren’t Fresh” campaign will now help make that process a little easier via his new iPhone app.

From the Bobby Fresh Site:

Inspired by the “Infrared” Jordan VI, our new project displays a scan of the stitching, materials and overall design of a shoe. As shown in our demo video, inauthentic shoes (and the people selling and buying them) are shamed with a flashing red “FAKE” at the end of analysis.

I have yet to test out the application, but it might be a nice tool to bring along when you are buying those authentic “Jays” from that guy you met in the barbershop. They haven’t released a listing of which shoes will be represented in the app, but hopefully it will be more than just Jordans. The app will be available on Monday, February 1, at 10AM PT at BobbyFresh.com/shop. Check the video below for a quick demonstration.
