Originally released back in 1987, these are definitely considered a running classic among fanatics. Dipped in a black/purple colorway to compliment the black/grey/orange Nike Safaris we saw last week, these are sure to garner some attention.
With only black and purple to play with, Nike chose to keep the color palette pretty similar. The upper is covered in a black/purple safari print around the toe box, ankle collar, and heel, while the midsole is a layered purple and white. The midpanel and lace stays are a deep purple leather that flows into a black leather toebox. The lining is a brighter purple which matches the stitching and Nike branding on the tongue. We haven’t been able to nail down a release date for the U.S., however, they are available at select retailers overseas such as titolo.
