The Air Max Courtballistec 2.3 may look familiar but its an all new shoe with an upgraded design to help set the tennis courts ablaze this year. The shoe has a grocery list of improvements that results in a lighter/more breathable shoe so lets take a look at the press release to get a feel for them all.
The Nike Air Max Courtballistec 2.3 has more breathability than the original shoe and weighs in an ounce lighter. It hasn’t sacrificed any of the cushioning support, however. Max Air returns to give you maximum impact protection in the heel, while LunarLite cushioning provides the springy bounce of the original shoe. The shoe also features a durable toe tip and extra-durable rubber on the outsole.
Because side-to-side movement and quick sprints are central to the sport, you’ll find the Nike Air Max Courtballistec 2.3 is designed with an outrigger on the lateral side of the outsole for lateral support and stability. Flex grooves in the sole allow your foot to move in a more natural motion that boosts flexibility.
