Vans Vault has definitely been making their presence know through the releases of several Vans Vault designs. Just in December alone we showed you the Taka Hayashi x Vans Vault Spring 2010 and the Vans Vault Spring 2010 – ‘Switchback’ Preview. Now we have the Standard Issue Hi LX and they definitely have their own flavor.
Abandoning the usual canvas materials, Vans decided to use suede/mesh combination for this shoe. The toe box, heel, and lace beds are suede adn the rest of the shoe is made of mesh. All three pairs, the red, black, and blue, share a common black ankle collar, a white vulcanized sole, and matching cord laces. Although more of a mid-top shoe, Vans was still able to capture a “newer” feel while still maintaining their design aesthetic that made them famous. All three colorways will be available starting next month.
