Tony Alva is a legend in skateboarding. He pioneered the sport to help make it the cultural phenomenon that it is today and it all started with him carving out empty swimming pools with his crew back in the mid 70s. He is the definition of an OG, so its only right that Vans, a shoe brand that has been around since the origins of skateboarding, pay homage with some new fresh looks on previously made signature kicks made in Tony’s honor. The pack included an updated version of the Mid Skool 77 pro which was his 1st signature model. Not only are these very fresh, but they are safe for the environment. Peep it:
The shoes were constructed with eco-friendly materials including water-based adhesives, recycled gum rubber and laces and linings made from recycled PET, the material used in plastic bottles.
