While Overkill does not live in the past they define their motto as “reminiscence of a tubulent history, living today and make the best of now and rocking the future with style.” The German sneaker retailers made sure to represent the Berlin wall with their New Balance collaboration as a further extension of their theory.
Collaborating with The Berlin Art Project to create the “Write The Wall” monument the two companies worked to build a faux Berlin wall and had the city’s best graffiti artists tag the wall to recreate the feeling of the Berlin wall.
