Come October 28th, Bobbito Garcia will have his own Pro-Keds out that are so so flossy. If you have no idea who this guy is, you have been under a suburban rock, as Garcia is a streetball player, DJ, writer, entrepreneur and of course, the man who gave us Where’d You Get Those?: New York City’s Sneaker Culture 1960-1987. As a man who has chronicled our culture for years, Garcia is known for his love of the Pro-Keds’ Royal Flash (also known as “Add On”), so to commemorate the brands 30th Anniversary, they are doing a collab release with Bobbito. Using a series of bright colorways, every shoe features “Bobbito” embossed on the side and “El Barrio, NYC” embossed on the tongue. The underside of the tongue reads 30th Anniversary.
