The Air Carnivore is one of those groundbreaking sneakers that only rolls around every so often and leaves an indelible impact on the scene. The shoe has been buried deep in the archives of Beaverton since its release leaving only the deadstock collectors access to the gems. Well it looks like this time next year we can all relive our childhoods with the retro version of the strapped up kick in two colorways. I know I’m late to the party, but I just had to comment since I was an original owner of a pair of jet black and purple ones. They were much more fierce looking and rarer than either of the ones currently pictured. They came out after the green and gray ones.
A dude I knew back in the day let me borrow them, eventually I took ownership because he never showed up again, looking back I guess they might have been stolen, because he “lost” some Jordan X’s from me, but anyway I digress.
This dude, he hands them off to me and tells me how rare they are. I’d never even heard or seen anything like them ever before. I went to school with these things on and everybody was on them like crazy. One of our star athletes at the school wanted to buy them right off my feet, and even offered to trade his Jordans for them too. They were insanely unique and very comfortable, and super light. If they re-issue the all black ones with purple accents, I’ll get those. Along with the David Robinson Nike Air Unlimited I owned, which were similar in the upper ankle design structure, these had to be the single most strikingly unique pair of shoes I’ve ever owned. If they bring these back in all black and purple, it’s on.

To Think I wrote an Open Letter to Nike for These!! I LOVE IT. 2010 IS GONNA BE AWESOME. Now if I can just get retros of Air Unlimited and Air 2 Strong.
