Entertainers get shoes made in their honor all the time so its cool to see an entertainer use their collaboration to pay homage to another and do something a little different. DJ Cassidy linked up with Rockport for his own signature boat shoe and while it may just look like a flambouyant shoe the reasoning behind its design makes it exceptional. The shoe has an elastic binding to hold it on your foot enabling it to be worn laceless which is homage to Run DMC and if thats not enough the shoes colorway was derived from Micheal Jacksons outfit in the Billie Jean video that was a red bow tie and pink socks.  A limited edition of 50 pieces represents the number of years the King of Pop was with us and they will be available soon at NYC’s Blue & Cream.
